Competitive Swimming Achievements

Canada Games: The Y Penguins have had 3 athletes represent Ontario at the Canada Games. Jenna Lambert and Chris Sergeant competed at the 2009 Canada Games where Chris won a bronze medal in the 100 breast and silver in the 100 fly. In 2013 Cassidy Tran represented Ontario at the Canada Games winning a gold medal in the 50 breast stroke.

 

 

Paralympic Trials: The Y Penguins have been represented at the Paralympic Trials since 2004. In 2016 they will bring 7 athletes to compete at this prestigious competition. These athletes include: Robert Hampson, Rene Hart, Emily Sayeau, Chris Sergeant, Nik Tolgyesi, Cassidy Tran, and Abi Tripp

 

 

Para Pan Am Games: The Y Penguins had 4 athletes represent Canada at the Para pan Am Games. Jenna Lambert, Chris Sergeant - Tsonos and Nik Tolgyesi competed in 2011 in Guadalajara Mexico. Chris Sergeant - Tsonos and Abi Tripp competed at the 2015 Games in Toronto Canada. Chris Sergeant - Tsonos won a bronze and a silver medal at the Guadalajara Games and a Bronze medal at the Toronto games.

World Championships: Three Y Penguins have represented Canada at World Championships. Jenna Lambert competed at the 2010 SC championships in Rio De Janeiro. Chris Sergeant  - Tsonos competed at two games, one in Eindhoven in the Netherlands and one in Montreal, Canada. Jeremy Baird won a bronze medal in Triathlon in Hamburg, Germany in 2007.
